Ryan Does this guy ever quit? I hope not because he's putting out the best ambient black metal since Paysage's initial surge. This is Trha's best release out of the 7 he's put out (so far) this year. Favorite track: ebu aglhaº.

Jordan Vauvert Inutile pour Trhä d'aller dans la surenchère pour créer la stupéfaction. Il n'a besoin que d'une couleur : le blanc ; jamais cette couleur n'aura été aussi présente sur une pochette que sur celle de §ºanΩë aglivajsamë cá nëlh¶iha i eddana pi¶e, qui ne lui demande que dix-neuf jours (!!!) de travail. Le black metal y est polaire, aussi froid que celui de Paysage d'Hiver, et Thét Älëf hurle avec la voix de quelqu'un qui a les poumons gelés. Les atmosphères sont belles à en pleurer... Favorite track: nventál.

Thrä delivers a track that is nothing short of phenomenal - from 7:40, it even turns into a rare emotional wonder. Those 13 minutes are an essential listen of one of today's most personal forms of "progressive" black metal - a maelstrom of unheard colors swirling crazily. Seht is drowned into a compact lo-fi cloud of sound from which occasionally emerge a few cristalline sparks. Le split Misotheismus/Trhä est intéressant car il "casse" une règle tacite de Trhä qui consiste à toujours utiliser un langage inventé ou au moins inintelligible. Misotheismus la respecte, à l'exception du sample qui ouvre "Untitled XIV" qui laisse penser qu'on est dans un règlement de comptes voire une scène de torture. Il n'est pas interdit de penser que ce thème traverse tout le split, ce qui explique pourquoi le black metal des deux artistes est aussi violent ; même Trhä se passe du synthé ! Jordan Vauvert
